Sell of my time share

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Many years ago a coworker and myself purchased time shares at the Maui Beach Vacation Club. We were going to Hawaii several times a year for both work and vacations. However, now both retired and do very little travel. We haven't been to Hawaii in several years. We are looking to sell our time shares, however, do not know if we are required to advise the Club or what exactly anything we are required to do. We have the 1 bedroom for one week. I have the ODD year and his is for the EVEN year. Worked out great when we were working. Would appreciate any information or you could provide.. Thank you

I have booked 3 nights at Tahiti Village Resort as your Time-Share promotion. My wife and I were very excited to visit Tahiti Village as we are shopping for a time-share where I can enjoy with my grandkids.

We drove from Orange County, California on Saturday, August 13 to stay till the 16th and attend the presentation which we were looking for it if we liked the resort.

We arrived at the resort at 6:45 pm.

Went to the reception, and there was a young lady who took my id and cd and said you have to wait for a while because your room is not ready!, I said what is not ready? How? Its almost 7 pm and we drove a very long way to our rest stop to be able to arrive before dark. she ignored me and gave me her back and walked away?

I immediately, asked for a manager, who came and she said what up? I explained to her it's 7 pm now and my room is not ready, how possible is that? She looked at me and went away for a long time. I was completely neglected for a long time.

I became upset and mad as both of them disappeared.

Meanwhile, another lady came and started to help another customer when I asked her for help she said she has another customer and when she is done with him she will help me. When she came to me, I explained to her what happened and it was now more than half-hour waiting, she heard me carelessly which made me more frustrated. I asked for the deputy manager or the GM, but she said nobody is here!

Very frustrated, don't know what to do, I looked to the other side where the concierge was, so I went to them asking for a manager. They were very kind and willing to help.

They tried to get in contact with Greg or Sean who I was told are the resort managers.

What made it worse is when both reception ladies said, you wont have a room here!

What in the world is this?! Where are we? I have traveled to 27 countries, and have stayed at 100s of hotels, I have never seen something like this!?

Of course, I didn't hassle and beg them for my room, I immediately booked another wonderful hotel on the Strip.

I do have videos for all that happened to document everything I have mentioned here.

I will post this letter on every social media plate form as well as with all my clients, friends, and colleagues.

their staff is a disgrace and a shame to work in the tourism business and to be in Vegas.

I am very glad that happened today before involving in any commitment.

I complained them to the BBB, they are still did not refund me my $300 deposit. Please be careful they are SCAMMERS!

Preferred solution: Refund $250, I paid as deposit. Pay the cost of the alternative hotel where we stayed in stead.

User's recommendation: The worst hotel and the worst staff and customer series. This resort must be boycotted. You are LOSERS & DISGRACE. This resort is RUBBISH! The worst resort ever. Unprofessional reception staff. No managers, it is like an airport or like market place. Avoid this place at any cost. Las Vegas has 100s of wonderful hotels. Save your money and book somewhere else where they can appreciate you as a customer pays them money. It's all rubbish, they enslave you because you stay free 3 nts. It's literally you sell yourself and your partner to them. Try if you like, just read their reviews on bbb. (Better Business Bureau)

This is the worst timeshare

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have been a owner since 2017 and have never been able to reserve my timeshare at Tahiti Village. They say they are always booked although you can find many available rooms on other hotel websites.

This has been an expensive scam. 17K for the time share and 904 per year for maintenance fees. We visited Tahiti Village on a friends time and found the Hotel to be disgusting. The room was old and out dated, the t.v did not work.

Dry blood on the bathroom floor, dry food on tables and counter. Extremely dusty and dirty. The grout in the shower coming a part from the door and surface areas. The list goes on.

There has been no maintenance or updates since we purchased. We are extremely disappointed.

I'm an owner for over 10 years. They treat us owners like a number. Checked in, no clean towels in room. Had kids, no sheets on pull out bed. The place smelled. Some pond not working. Waited over an hour to check in. Didn't have dates I really wanted. Call to front desk no answer. Food at the bar/restaurant paid $15 for hamburger and disgusting. Pool have visitors from the street getting in. Raiders should make a parking lot out of it.

Poor customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had a significant reduction in income starting March 2020 through May 2021. Now that I'm catching up due to my income being restored, I attempted to get my maintenance fees up-to-date.

I called the number that had been leaving messages and spoke with I believe Iris. After she took my payment on July 22nd, I asked her directly if my account was now all up-to-date. She said yes, I was now fully paid and could schedule my vacation. I attempted to log onto the RCI website but it said my account was disabled and to contact my home resort.

I decided to give it over the weekend and try again.

The following Monday, I started getting the dunning calls on my voicemail again. Finally, on Friday July 30th, I called again. It turns out Iris had only taken the maintenance fee for one of my two contracts. I asked to speak with a supervisor since I felt it would be beneficial for Iris to have this as a training opportunity to look more closely and not give erroneous information to owners.

A little while later I was called back by "Carmen" who identified herself as a supervisor.

She said she was confused but that I did have another contract maintenance fee due as well as two years of RCI. I thought that was odd since I had paid everything last year so if anything it might have been one year (associated with this year's dues) of RCI but I paid both and asked her to make an effort to get the RCI situation cleared up.

The RCI situation was NOT cleared up by a week later. I called and Carmen happened to answer the phone again. I asked her what was going on with the RCI and she said I'd have to call Owners Services.

I told her I'd spoken to HER about it and that in any service organization I'd ever worked for, the person taking the call was the person who would try and help the client, not just telling them "its not my job" and sending them on their own to start over with another department. I asked to speak with HER manager about this. She put me on hold for several minutes, then returned and told me that her manager refused to speak with me.

This made me livid. A manager refusing to speak with a client about a service issue is appalling enough, but how do I even know she asked her manager anything and hadn't just put me on hold for an amount of time in order to avoid having a service issue documented?

I immediately called Owners Services and after a 35 minute hold a man answered who identified himself as Eric.

Once I had told him I wanted to get an issue with my RCI account rectified and to log a service issue instead of making a reservation, the phone went dead. Had he hung up on me?

I certainly hope it was just one of those situations where a phone system occasionally drops a call, but this led me to feel even more abused as an owner by an organization completely disinterested in any type of service to its long-term clients.

I've owned at a property owned by Soleil Management since 2004. Is this really the level of service I now need to expect?

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
For years I have been an owner at Sands of Kahanna in Maui. Last year due to the Covid epidemic I have had to close my business and take out social security. I have since then not been able to contact Soliel to discuss the relentless attempts to get the yearly fee even though I have informed them I can no longer afford to do so. Attempts at contact other than the accumulation of penalties have been futile. It is as if all humanity has been suspended except for the purpose of fee accumulation as no one is travelling.

I feel you I paid off my timeshare since 2018 I have not been able to book one time jet , I have not paid the maintenance fee and been traying to get out of it but I can.

Best advice I can give anyone is never buy a timeshare. Google will supply you with tons of complaints.

Also, don't use any of the many companies that promise to get you out of a timeshare for a fee.. They are all scammers too. My timeshare was with Marriott, a very reputable company RIGHT? Wrong - they're just like all the rest.

I finally got out by refusing to pay the management fee and trying to give the unit back for free. It took two years and a multitude of threats of legal action and threats to attack my credit rating from Marriott, but they finally gave up..

Scam for sure.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
There have been profound discrepancies between what this company says and what they do. We have been a very long dispute. Last year we were told that our request was under review by the Legal Team for the option to give the deed back. We called numerous times since last December 2019, when Ida acknowledged the receipt of our request and stated it was under the review of the Legal Team. We were patient and called repeatedly. Venus told us she could not even share the results of those notes, and Ida was much the same. Today, I finally reached a decent rep who told me that she could view and see that 1. They have rejected the offer. 2. Legal only allows deed backs in certain circumstance, but she doesn't know which ones. 3. She sees they failed to communicate the review results to us which is a very odd and unusual thing there. 4. She sees we have lodged numerous complaints via mail and email. She abruptly changed her mood and was less cordial and less informational with me. We are tired of this constant war with them. This company has filed bankruptcy and yet continues to collect from us and expect for us to entrust them with our money when we cannot even trust them to respond. The Legal Department cannot be reached, it is some mysterious department with no contact information available that makes life-long decisions for owners but will not connect with one. I am 71-years old and I don't want to invest my precious energy into this constant negative situation that I am in with this company. They presume to tell me that I have been deemed unworthy of a deed back option without notifying us, without explaining why, without being willing to expose so much as a phone number, name, or email to reach out to them with. They insisted on everything being mailed, so we mailed it. Soleil Management is the umbrella under which we own, the resort they sold us fraudulently is Tahiti Village. Even more concerning is if you look into Soleil Mgmt. They have had countless license revocations (permanently) as a company, (shown on the Secretary of State). Over a ten-year period we were able to book eight days, and the accommodations were not what one should expect for $31,000+. The ONLY reply they have ever given is to tell us that they are not the ones to talk to, we should go to "Soleil, LV, LLC"; not to "Soleil Management". That was from Lynn Mitchell VP of Resort Operations - NV and FL of Soleil Management, LLC. Each time a license is revoked I suppose they just change the name or initials behind the company name Soleil.

Are they, Consolidated Resorts now( Apr 2021) in Bankruptcy?

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Maziah Efc

The owners are the ASNY Company. When Consolidated filed bankruptcy in 2009, ASNY purchased Tahiti Village, Soleil LV LLC and through the courts, became the developers of those properties.

ASNY hold the developer rights now, but they will deny it to your face. I personally have pointed to the court papers at ASNY and they still deny it.

They are *** Don't let up though. With enough pressure, they will have to cave to reality.
